# CheckedHome

> Official electric utility rates and outage records for every U.S. county, restated verbatim from the government's own EIA Form 861 filings with citations. We publish numbers and records, never ratings, scores, or rankings.

CheckedHome answers, for any county: who delivers the electricity, what residential customers pay, and how often and how long the power goes out. Outage figures (SAIDI, SAIFI) are each utility's own filing to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Average monthly bills and price per kilowatt-hour are computed by CheckedHome from EIA's residential revenue and sales, and are labeled as computed wherever they appear; EIA's numbers and our arithmetic are never blurred. A metric a utility did not report renders "Not reported to EIA," never zero.

Coverage: 51 states and DC; 2,750 utility-state records, of which 971 report 2024 outage data (about 83.11% of U.S. electricity customers, customer-weighted); 11,776 county-to-utility service links; reliability history back to 2013. Source data synced September 14, 2026.
